This post has been a long time coming! I am so glad that I am finally able to share some images from the styled shoot I put together in June. I was able to work with an incredible team of vendors who really collaborated to make the vision come to life! I can't believe how much work was involved but in the end, it was so worth it!
Everything in this shoot personifies a DIY attitude. Pretty much everything is made of paper. All of the flowers, the hair pieces, the boutonniere, the bouquet, the jewelry, the bow tie, all paper. The stationary perfectly captures the whimsical vibe of the shoot. All designed and created by Kylie of PocketVites. She has such a natural talent for design and creates the most beautiful hand-made pocket invitations and menus. For this shoot she designed the invitations, the menus and the place cards.
All of the little flowers for the shoot were made of crepe paper. Even the flowers on the cake. The cake itself was designed and made by Nicola of A Cake Story. A Toronto based wedding cake designer, Nicola really knows her cakes.
The hair and makeup was covered by Allison, a stylist at Pure Self Salon and Spa in Markham. Tiny little intricate braids and waves all pinned together really helped tie the hair into the rest of the shoot. Fun yet still sophisticated. The awesome models are a real married couple. That is why there is so much chemistry between them. It basically jumps off the screen at you.
For the rest of the shoot we stuck with the idea of fun yet classy. Bright colours, bubbles, little sodas. Tied together with gold details to bring out the sophistication. Little details full of whimsy yet something that could be translated into a real wedding.
Thanks so much to all the vendors and the models for helping make this a reality. If you want to check out more of the images and see this shoot featured check it out on Bespoke Bride and A Touch of Modern.
