Estelle and Chris CN Tower Elopement

When Estelle first emailed me to ask if I wanted to shoot her and Chris’s elopement I was like Hell Yeah! They had the most unique idea to celebrate their marriage. They were both from the US but wanted to come to Toronto in order to get to the top of the CN tower. Estelle was afraid of heights but they had made it a tradition in their family to conquer that fear every so often and they could think of no better way to get married. I, of course, jumped at the chance. It had been years since I had been to the top of the tower and I knew that photographing the two of them was going to be magical. And boy was I right.

They started off getting officially married at One King West downtown. It was just the two of them and two of their closest friends one of whom officiated the intimate ceremony, which made it 100% more special and memorable. There may have been some happy tears involved. After that, we headed to the tower. Luckily the line to get to the top was not very long and before we knew it we were on top of the world! What a cool idea it was to celebrate a new marriage at such great heights. I loved that these two were willing to go out of their comfort zones to commemorate their new lives together. Because marriage is kind of like that. An adventure you’re taking together to new heights.
