Fall Wedding

2018 Year in Review

During the process of going through all of my weddings and sessions for this year and compiling them into this slideshow, I was struck by the concept of love. There are so many people on this planet but each of us have our core group of people who make up our circle of love. Out of billions we connect with just a tiny portion of people above all others and that is so beautiful to me. Our people who make us feel safe and loved and supported.

2018 was one for the books. I was able to photograph so many people in love. There were intimate backyard weddings, campground festivities, hot Summer days and cool Fall rain and plenty of tears coming from my face. But most of all there were people who said I do to a life together.

This year was a leap of faith. It was the year I finally took my business full time and committed to putting my full time energy into my business. It was a year of change. We moved into our current home, adopted our beautiful cat Livy and I finally saw Wicked for the first time. (I know right, have I been living under a rock).

2019 will be another year of beautiful couples, families all together for maybe the first time in a long time. Two families becoming one. Of precious puppies walking their humans down the aisle, of dad’s tears as their daughters have grown. Proud mom’s as they dance with their sons. Another year of laughter, crazy groomsmen and happy tears. Bring it on.

Rachel and Matt | Homegrown Backyard Wedding

Early in the Fall I had an amazing opportunity to attend and photograph this adorable backyard wedding ceremony with Oak and Myrrh Photography. It was just about the sweetest thing I have ever witnessed! Love shooting through the air like sparks. The bride's dress was an unbelievably amazing and glittery Jenny Packham gown that she got for an absolute steal! Even though it was late September, it was a glorious day. The sun shining down. Barely a cloud in sight.

The ceremony was simple and beautiful and focused on the love they had for each other and the love of their families.

Lindsey and Jayden | Port Cunnington Lodge Wedding

The Lake of Bays. One of the most serene and marvellous spots for a wedding. So gorgeous it might just bowl you over. And having your wedding at Port Cunnington Lodge during the height of the Fall Season is enough to make you cry big fat tears of beauty overload. This couple decided that one day was just not enough to get the whole experience and knew that a whole weekend was definitely necessary to celebrate their love with all their friends and family. The weather definitely cooperated. It rained all morning right up until when I arrived and then the sun just burst through the clouds to say hello. Boy am I glad it did. Because Mother Nature was in a great mood that day they were able to say their vows out on the deck, right by the water.

Muskoka is a dream location for any wedding and I am so glad I got to be there with 3Photography to shoot this wedding. Click HERE to check out their blog to see their vision of the day.
