It is so hard to put this wedding into words. The whole day was so bright and colourful and fun and filled with heart and tradition. All the things that I love about weddings were included in this one. Zehra and Aasif prove that true love conquers all. Zehra and her family are from Pakistan and Aasif and his are from Mumbai. They both come from different Muslim sects which celebrate marriage in different ways. But all of their friends and family came together to celebrate love together and it was beautiful. Their love story is truly a modern global tale. Both coming from different places and meeting in Boston only to find themselves living together in Toronto. It doesn’t get more fateful than that.

The morning of the wedding was filled with family there to watch Zehra put the finishing touches on her beautiful gown. I was literally swooning over the gorgeous design. Every small detail was perfect. They were married at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club in Dundas and it was the most beautiful sunny day. They had friends and family that flew from all over the world to come party with them and party they did. One of my favourite moments though was that Zehra and Aasif chose to have a first look moment together where they read each other their vows, instead of doing this during the ceremony. This was such a perfect way to have an intimate moment together. This wedding epitomizes my philosophy behind my style. Bright and colourful and full of life.
