Your 2020 wedding probably didn’t turn out exactly like you thought that it would. Its been a crazy year and a lot of changes have happened from one day to the next. If you have had to rethink your wedding plans you are not alone.

Everyone knows how much I love weddings. Seriously I love weddings. The personal details, the quirky moments, the sweet hugs and kisses, all that family. However, with all that family comes taking photos of that family. It's a very important part of the day.

Congrats newlyweds! I see you out there showing off your bling to whoever will look at it and regaling everyone with your romantic love story (I want to hear it too by the way).

I’m sure you’ve noticed over the past years the strong momentum of the body positivity movement in the fashion world. Aerie and many other brands proudly showcase strong diversity and more and more plus-size models are breaking free of past restrictions in the fashion world.

Over the years I have seen countless news stories that all start and end the same. Stories of recently married couples who never received their wedding photos. Tales of devastated brides who can’t get in touch with their photographer and have no memories of their big day.

Oh my fellow introverts. I feel you and I recognize you. I know you are so excited about your wedding but those feelings of exhaustion are already creeping up on you aren’t they?

Rain is dreaded on wedding days. But to be honest I have a dreamy crush on rain. There is something magical and romantic about it. After all, kissing in the rain is one of the most iconic romance movie tropes of all time! Plus as they say, rain is exceptionally good luck.

There is so much that goes into a wedding, so much planning, so much love and time that goes towards your special day. It is so amazing to see more and more couples embracing eco-friendly practices throughout their wedding day. There is no reason why you can't have a fabulous wedding and also think about the Earth in the process.

Every couple is different and every wedding is different and whether or not you choose to do a first look is entirely up to who you are as a couple and how you want your wedding to play out. No one can make that decision for you. I can, however, tell you why I chose to go that route for my own wedding in November.
